And Now, From the Red Planet
Anyone who saw the control room celebration when the Mars rover Curiosity touched down earlier this week cannot discount the United States as having lost its edge.
The room was filled with some of the smartest people on Earth reaching an extraordinary goal.
And you didn’t see any whining politicians, preening athletes or vain celebrities.
We have significant challenges in America and we have outstandingly smart people who can solve them. Are we going to let them do it?
