Today is Keith Richard’s 69th birthday.
Someone once said that if there was a nuclear war the only two things left living would be roaches and Keith Richards.
Being the lead guitarist for The Rolling Stones has to have been—and is—an adventure. Richards’ describes his new autobiography, Life, as a way to, “pick up the pieces of the broken mirror and put them back together.”
While most of us might not have lived life at the pace, intensity and level of a rock and roll star most of us, if we make it this far, are putting the pieces of the broken mirror back together to see what we have to work with for the rest of the journey.
Mick Jagger will be 70 in July, Keith Richards is 69, and they’re still rockin’.
There’s hope for the rest of us.
