Try this simple exercise: Take a piece of paper and a pen or pencil and sign your name as you normally do.
Now, under your signature, sign your name again with your non-dominant hand.

Tim Miles, author of Good Company, uses the exercises to show how awkward we feel in times of change. He says our habits “have carved out well-rutted neuro-pathways and (we) have no interest in climbing out of them.”
Try it again. Write your name with your non-dominant hand. Be aware of how hard you are concentrating this time. LOL!!! Almost all of us are totally focused on slowing down, writing more carefully, trying to make each letter readable.
That’s what trying to change can feel like and it feels like work.
That’s why it’s so difficult for most people.
