The message that life keeps offering a lesson until you learn it continues to be presented to me…continuously.
During the last 6 months the book, The Alchemist, by Brazilian novelist, Paul Coelho, has popped up in and around my life with maddening frequency. It’s the story of a Spanish boy’s journey to the Pyramids and his destiny. Last week during a seminar I even had an attendee bring up the book in her introduction to the class.
So, I downloaded it on Friday and read it today.
If you’re struggling to make a dream come true or trying to find a dream to chase (which is really the only way to really LIVE life) you must read this book.
Here are a few quotes that screamed at me:
An Arab proverb: “Everything that happens once can never happen again. But everything that happens twice will surely happen a third time.”
“When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too.”
“If a person is living out his Personal Legend, he knows everything he needs to know. There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
“One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.”
“No matter what he does, every person on earth plays a central role in the history of the world. And normally he doesn’t know it.”
